A New Dream
I'm really inspired by all of you who are doing the New Year's
Ritual and committing to make this an incredible year, even with all that is going in the world. I'm excited because,
of course, tough times call on us to go a little deeper, to hold on a little tighter, and work a little smarter. During my
meditation Friday morning, I had this dream for you.
My dream is that you are free from the bondage of your wounded ego's needs, fears, doubts and greed in 2009
and that you wake up every day and see the goodness in yourself and in others. My dream is that today you accept the past
for what it is -- the past -- and you open up to a whole new future unlike anything you've seen before. My dream is that this
year you will love like you've never loved before, that you love your brothers, sisters, mothers, fathers, children, neighbors,
and even enemies in ways that you didn't think were possible. And that you devote yourself to living in peace and prosperity
by telling yourself and others the G-d's honest truth. And, of course, my greater dream is that all nations lay down their
arms, deal with their shadows, and resolve their conflicts. (We're happy to help.)
On this beautiful first weekend in January, you are called upon to begin 2009
by allowing a new dream for yourself and the world to emerge. It's not enough to write out a short
vision or list a particular goal. In order to step into the next greatest expression of your soul's highest desires, you must
dare to dream. You must allow a dream that already exists in your soul to come to the front of your conscious awareness. You
must unconceal a wanting, a longing that is consistent with the state of being you most desire. This should not be your ego's
dream but rather G-d's dream for you -- something that the divine has been waiting to give you until you were ready to ASK,
LISTEN, and RECEIVE.
Dream today.
Allow the powers that be to give you a glimmer of a future that is wanting to emerge this year. Don't try to insert your will
on to this divine dream. Just invite it into your awareness over the next few days. Write it down. See it in all its color
and glory. Bless it, feel it, and thank the higher realms for giving you a peek at what is available for you this year if
you allow your soul to be your guide.
I
know that, if you are willing to reach deep into your heart, you will see a bigger dream for yourself and the world than you
ever imagined.

New Year's Ritual - Part One
To My Beloved Community,
This morning in my meditation, I thought about all the people I love,
of course all of you -- and this was the message that came to me to deliver to you. I hope it nourishes you as much as it
did me.
Only the Divine Creator of
seven billion children can heal your heart and fill you souls with the satisfaction you crave in this coming year. It is the
return of your holy spirit that will lift you, fill you, and fuel your future beyond your comprehension. You can't comprehend
this future because you are trying to see it through your human eyes and it can only be seen through G-d's eyes. Don't fool
yourself or trick yourself into believing this coming year will be significantly different than the last unless you are willing
to surrender your life and your ego's will over to a power so much greater than your human self. Don't update your vision
or make new goals in service of getting more or finally reaching utopia when your heart's only true desire is to experience
the greatest love imaginable. Have you ever found yourself looking for this love in all the wrong places -- in a cupcake,
in your Starbucks, in your checkbook, in your job, or in a fantasy about your future? You are being called on now to stop
the foolish game of wishing and wanting for outer things because ultimately you are never going to settle for less than the
experience of your own greatness. If you want to have radical results, you must begin this year with displaying one the greatest
human attributes -- the ability to be humble. Humble enough to let go of the reins and hand them over to the Santa in the
sky, the mystical power for only he or she that rests in the divine heavens can truly take you where your heart longs to go.
Today I pray that you let go and let G-d, that you
be still enough to hear the whisper of your own soul and delight in the magic of the human spirit, and when you make your
vision map this year, you pray for divine will to guide you to an inner paradise that will deliver you what your soul needs
and your heart desires. What is that, you might ask? For the human being, it is unconditional love and acceptance, deep inner
peace and an unshakeable knowing that your life matters.
Holy Work for the Week
What one divine feeling do you want to explore or align with this coming year? What feeling would be worth
giving up old patterns, behaviors, opinions, beliefs, thoughts and judgments? How could your alignment with this divine feeling
serve the greater whole? How would it help those around you? How would it heal your own heart? How would it push you to take
risks and step into the next highest demonstration of your soul? Take some time this week to journal and answer these questions.

New Year's Ritual - Part Two
Dear Beloved Community,
As you start the first day of 2009, know that I am wishing you a fantastic year. May all your dreams
come true. Here is a ritual to support you in your success this year.
First, if you haven't already, do Part One of the New Year's Ritual. Pick
a vibration, a frequency that you'd like to live on this year -- the one feeling that you most want. Remember, we have all
of these feelings, these levels of consciousness, these frequencies, and these vibrations right inside of us all the time.
Our job is to activate them.

Call forth three images that would ensure that you're living on that frequency this year. For example, if you want peace,
you might see an image of a still lake, a person in meditation, or people holding hands. Allow yourself to see images that
will anchor you in that feeling.
- Identify what that vibration would smell like.
What smell would you most associate with what you've chosen? (Hint: You might want to pick your favorite smell since I'm going
to ask you to get it and smell it every day!)
- Select a color that most reminds
you of that feeling. What color would best evoke the feeling you've chosen?

Find a phrase -- an expression, a line in a prayer, a part of a poem, or something you write yourself. For peace, for example,
it could be "Be still and know that I am G-d."
- Pick two other synonyms
for the frequency. For peace, for example, you might pick "serenity" and "contentment."
- Choose a song that matches the vibration you want. Go through your iPod or put your word into the
iTunes store. Find yourself a theme song for the year.
- See two behaviors that
you can do every week this year that would bring forth the feeling inside of you. For peace, it might be going for a walk
in a park near your home, going to pray in a spot that you like, or reading part of a book.
- Find a beautiful piece of paper or notebook. In your best handwriting (or most beautiful font on your computer),
write out all these details -- the images, the smell, the color, the phrase, the synonyms, the song, and the behaviors. Make
copies of your list and put them around the house so you will be reminded.
Finally, each and every day of this new year (and at least for the next 21 days straight), spend
a minimum of two minutes at the beginning of the day and before you go to bed holding that piece of paper, reviewing your
list, listening to that song, smelling that smell, repeating that phrase. Bring yourself into the presence of the frequency.
Feel the vibration. Bask in that feeling. Close your eyes and ask the powers that be to support you in bringing forth the
highest expression of the state of being you have chosen. You won't have to worry about your resolutions or your goals. You'll
get everything that you desire.
